Final Video Project:Collaboration within Distance Education

Hi all,

Here is my video presentation. I have learned a lot through this entire process. I guess the saying is true..."What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger!" Thanks for being patient with me. I am a bit technologically challenged sometimes. :)

I hope you enjoyed it.

  1. You were very thorough with your video. I liked that variety of topics to really give a complete picture of the way that collaboration takes place in distance education. I also liked your graphics. It looks like you created some of them your self :) Did you do some of the drawings? Your graphics really matched what you were sharing.

I was not sure about the speed of the narrative. Where you trying to stay within a certain time frame? I was still able to follow what you were sharing :)

I think that your use of text was well done. It was also well placed with the graphics.

One resource that you might want to look at is Camtasia. You can put a slide show into it from Power Point that will allow for a variety of transitions with the slides.

I learned a lot from your presentation.

  5. Your video was very informative and provided great visuals. I just believe that you spoke too fast... it took from the presentation.

  6. I did not have problem watching your video. I was amazed of the amount of great visuals you collected for this presentation. Did you take some of the pictures?? I liked that way you added historical pictures when you presented the timeline, instead of just showing the timelines. Your presentation was very through and covered many aspects of online collaboration from the concepts to actual tools. I think there are little bit too much information to be presented in limited time frame for this presentation, so that your narratives sounded little too rushed. I was same way with my video and ended up cutting many slides and narratives to prioritize information fits into 5-6 min. As a presentation to introduce guest speaker, I think we needed to prioritize what information to cover, so that we will still leave information for key note speaker to present. Other that, your presentation was very informative and helped me to brainstorm how to make our training materials into more collaborative fashion. Thank you for sharing.

  7. Krista,

I enjoyed your presentation. Your audio was very informative, and you covered alot of material, yet I felt you spoke clearly as well. I appreciated the one-word visual tie-in between visual and audio, and appreciated your use of a variety of visual images. Which sites did you use to get your images from?

I wondered if you had any video taped material? I know that is what I had to work on, since I was reticent to get in front of the camera...

Overall, great job! Good luck in your next classes!
